lyrics

Pailer than aprils loathsome grimace
with wrought iron finish
i'll forever retire
to frost heave and desire
which now burns the knuckles of my fists

so its green gold and azure
or dead dulled and grey,
what heartless bastard
ever assumed i would happily live this way?

Life should be spent,
chalk full of frolic and whimsy
and yet, i sleep without rest
tossed aside by the fate of a spiraling
misguided capsizing ship
filled with useless expressions to vent my contempt
at a state that was meant for some other poor sucker
of obvious omnious angst and regret

so give me one evening
alone with the wretch
and i'll do the rest
wring his thin little neck
and i'll sleep in the shade
on the warmth of the day
tickling the backs of the daisy at play

so its green gold and azure
or dead dull and grey
what hearltess bastard
ever assumed this burlesque was an even trade?
