lyrics

Theres a home,
with a light,
that stays lit every night,
just in case
something needs to be litten.

Through the thick window casing,
the shine of a bulb,
sends a pale yellow ember,
refracted and hollow,
toward the red glow,
of the moon.

..and as cold air it shuffles,
through piles of papers,
to find the receipt for a broken down furnace,
that seemed to go awol sometime mid december,
and won't get replaced until spring receives tenure,
you call it a draft,
close the window,
move on with your day.

Theres a home,
with a light,
that stays lit every night,
just in case something needs to be litten.

Toward the red glow,
of the moon,
theres a magic,
thats spoken of only in motion.

As heavenly bodies,
submit to the whim,
that they only paint skylines,
beneath the great darkness,
and weep from the notion,
as likeminded fools.

Theres a home,
with a light,
that stays lit every night,
just in case something needs to be litten.

Through the thick window casing,
the shine of a bulb,
sends a pale yellow ember,
refracted and hollow,
toward the red glow,
of the moon.
